Materials

CR-39 (Plastic) – Industry standard “basic” lens material. Clearest plastic material available as well as the heaviest, thickest, and least scratch resistant. Most optical retailers start their pricing with this material and offer upgrades.

Polycarbonate – Our standard lens. Lighter, thinner, impact, and scratch resistant lens. Recommended for children.

Hi-Index 1.67 – Lighter and thinner than polycarbonate. Highly recommended pairing with anti-reflective (increases transmittable light from 70-99% & acuity).

Hi-Index 1.74 – Same as above, but lighter and thinner.

anti-reflective

Standard Anti-Reflective – Provides glare reduction associated with night-time driving (starbursts & halos), pictures, screens, ect.. standard comes with basic scratch resistance and used by most inexpensive lens retailers. Provides no oleophobic or hydrophobic properties (oil & water resistance) as well as more likely to wear down with standard cleaning.

Premium Anti-Reflective – Provides improved glare, smudge, oil, and water resistance in comparison to standard anti-reflectives. Includes UV protection, increased scratch resistance, and typically a 1-year warranty. Our standard A/R.

Blue Blocker Anti-Reflective – Same quality as above but with increased UV filtering. Filters blue-light emitted from electronic screens.

Light to dARK

Light To Dark – Lenses go from clear to dark with the exposure of light (“Sunglass” effect). Available in 3 colors; Grey, Blue, & Brown.

PolARIZED

Glare reduction at its finest. The only way to remove blinding sunlight from your vision. Tinted lenses remove brightness but will not remove glare reflecting off of surfaces. For example, polarized lenses allow the wearer to see into water rather then the white light reflection. Available in Grey, Brown, & Green.
